Bernie works with leaders at all levels in organizations from Owners to Managers to Presidents to help strategize, lead, and facilitate transformational change to grow individual and organizational capability. Bernie focuses on the people-side of change as he knows how critical buy-in is for sustaining any change. His excellent facilitation skills have allowed him to lead interventions in executive team building, organizational realignment, and organizational effectiveness.
He has worked in every functional area of HR and has been a VP of HR & OD for a multinational company. Bernie’s most significant successes have been in the areas of strategic alignment, leadership development, and change management. Bernie’s clients have been so pleased with the work he does that he has been offered regular full-time positions in client companies four times.
In addition to his consulting and operational experience, Bernie has served in a full-time faculty position at Towson University in Maryland teaching Undergraduate HR Management in the Business School and teaching Change Management, Strategic HR, Talent Management, and Organizational Behavior at the Graduate HRD level. Bernie has also been a guest speaker for the Center for Advanced Instructional Technology.
Bernie received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a business concentration and then received his Master’s Degree from Western Kentucky University in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He has been published in various HR Magazines and maintains his SHRM-SCP and SPHR designations.
Bernie is certified in MBTI (Myers-Briggs), Personality Dimensions, ExperienceChange© Computer Simulations, Korn Ferry 360 Assessment, as well as having his Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt and being a certified Front-Line and Business Impact Leadership Series Facilitator by Development Dimensions International (DDI).
